RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day 2010 & RNAS Culdrose Air Day 2010 DVD / Blu-ray
RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day 2010
Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton – HMS Heron – celebrated its 70th anniversary this year with a truly international event with participants from France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, The Netherlands, Jordan and Denmark.
The RAF supported with The Red Arrows and Harrier and historic types included Seafire, Hurricane and Venom. Aerobatics and wing-walking thrills and spills came courtesy of the Breiting, Swift, Twister and Falcons Team and the Vulcan delivered the noise.
But this was the Royal Navy's day and they did not disappoint with full displays by Lynx, Merlin, Black Cats, Jetstreams, Raiders parachutists and of course the explosive Commando Assault Finale. Our cameras in the Sea King and embedded with troops take you right into the action.
RNAS Culdrose Air Day 2010
Several Yeovilton participants also flew at Culdrose but notable additions were role demo's by local Sea Kings, FAA history through Skyraider and Wasp, Team Viper's classic jets and rare appearances by the RV8-tors and Osprey teams.
We need no excuse for another look at the magnificent Vulcan.
