We were hugely excited to be covering Air Day again in 2019. We broadcast live over on YouTube and of course proded the official souvenir video programme which is available on DVD/Blu-ray and online.
The Royal Navy International Air Day 2019 at RNAS Yeovilton brought together a diverse and exciting air display of UK and overseas participants.
This programme focuses on the action in the air with all displays recorded from multiple ground cameras and we go on board during Rich Goodwin’s Pitts Special display. Historic stars were the newly restored Wessex helicopter and French Alizé. The Spanish Navy EAV-8B Harrier II+ was perhaps the standout overseas participant, but for drama it’s hard to beat the traditional explosive Commando Assault Finale, this year with ‘Jet Man’ backing up the Royal Marines.
